What is personal data?

 Personal data means any information relating to a natural person, i.e. the data subject, who is known or identifiable, directly or indirectly, through the use of certain data (for example, name, surname, address, telephone number, etc.). 

We need certain personal data in order to fulfil our obligations. Efecta undertakes to collect and process personal data only if and to the extent necessary for the fulfilment of a specific, defined and legitimate purpose.

When and how do we collect your information?

We collect personal information in the following cases:

What personal data do we collect and why do we collect it?

When you contact us to request our services, we ask that you provide us with accurate and necessary information to respond to your request. When you provide your personal information to us, we use it for the purposes stated at the time of collection or for purposes that are obvious in the context of the collection.

In providing the above services to our customers, we may collect personal information such as:
– contact details such as name, surname, email address, residential address, telephone number;
• preferences for communication, e.g. information about which newsletters you want to receive;
• other relevant information such as your job title, language, postcode, location and time zone where you live.

We do not collect any special personal data unless necessary. Special personal data includes data relating to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health, sex life.

If you provide us with your sensitive personal data, you confirm that you understand your actions and give your explicit consent to the collection, use and disclosure of such data to third parties for the purposes set out in this Notice. If you provide us with personal information about other persons, such as your employees or dependents, you must obtain their consent before providing this information to us.

Social networks.

You can contact us using social networks or through the social network integration on our website. When you connect with us on third-party social networks or use the social networking features integrated on the website, you give us access to certain information about your social networking account (such as your name, email address, photo, gender, date of birth, messages or favourite pages).

If you post information when interacting with us on social networks or using social network integrations, depending on the privacy preferences you have chosen, the information you post may be made publicly available on the internet. In some social networks, you can control what information you post is made public. 

 How do we use your personal information?

Below is a summary of the purposes for which we process your personal information. More information about what information we collect for each of our services, as well as information about the purpose of the collection and its legal basis, is set out below.

Providing services to your customers.

We process the personal information provided by our customers in order to provide our professional web development services. The specific purpose for which we process your personal information depends on the type and scope of the services we provide, as well as applicable laws, regulatory guidelines and professional standards. We may also process your information where we are approached by a legal entity as a client, where you are an employee of the client or otherwise related to the client. In such a case, the client must ensure that you are informed of the transfer of your personal information to us or to our service providers and business partners.

Managing customer enquiries.

We process the personal information of our customers and their representatives to:
• carrying out identification and verification procedures before the provision of services;
• communicating with the client, providing and administering services, and ensuring payment for services;
• handling customer complaints and enquiries

We are communicating with clients and potential clients and sending promotional messages.

We process the personal information of our customers and their representatives to:
• Communicate with clients about ongoing, planned or proposed services;
• send newsletters, useful information, promotional messages and other marketing communications to customers;
• inviting clients to events (or organising and managing such events).

How long do we keep personal information?

The period for which we keep your personal information depends on the purpose for which the data was obtained and the categories of data. We will not retain your personal information for longer than is necessary for the purposes set out in this Notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law. We have put in place appropriate measures to destroy your personal information in a timely, secure and consistent manner when it is no longer needed.

In certain cases, we may keep your personal information for a longer period of time in order to have accurate information about your relationship with us, in order to resolve potential complaints and disputes, or if we reasonably believe that there is a threat of litigation in relation to your personal information or relationship with us.
